Horton’s Kids believes circumstance should not dictate a child’s future, and that every child should graduate from high school ready to succeed in college, career, and life. To that end, they provide a holistic, research-based continuum of academic, youth development, and basic needs supports designed to empower children to succeed.

Horton’s Kids provides a comprehensive model of support, and seeks to continuously improve its programs to ensure services are as effective as possible. With the goal of seeing every child graduate from high school ready for college, career, and life, Horton’s Kids is having significant impacts on the children we serve. Children who participate in Horton’s Kids are twice as likely to graduate from high school.

The National Mall is our nation’s foremost civic space and primary location for political demonstration, first amendment activities, rallies, parades, and festivals. Each year, millions of visitors of every race, nationality and faith come to the National Mall to demonstrate our rights, celebrate our freedoms, commemorate our history and culture, our unity and our diversity.

The Trust for the National Mall represents one of the largest public-private partnership in the history of the National Park Service and is responsible for bringing the National Mall Plan to life. The plan was approved by the Park Service in 2010, and contains a comprehensive blueprint and detailed action plan to enhance the National Mall’s beauty, usefulness, and sustainability.
