Trump tariffs, tax-rate fights, and DOGE cuts have lobbyists and their clients reeling. The typical strategies don’t always work in Trump 2.0 and the all-Republican Congress.

Bloomberg Government held a webinar Wednesday with three lobbyists who have ties with the Trump team and to both parties on Capitol Hill across policy issues.

Finding pressure points in Republican states and congressional districts can be an effective lobbying route for clients, said Missy Edwards, a former Senate GOP aide who runs the lobbying firm Missy Edwards Strategies.

“President Trump is doing exactly what he said he would do,” she said.
